you said it...you tube!

Youtube is now in the news once again. I know they've been in for good and bad news but this time, I believe its for the good kind.

Apparently, it has been discovered that several large newpapers such as the St. Pete Times have been using youtube to promote thier papers and for advertisments

They have seen how popular the website has come and we all have seen the facts showing that newspapers are dropping and dropping hard on the list of top media outlets. They've put 2 and 2 together and realized that they should get in with what is popular for help them

I for one think this is not such a bad idea. I completly believe people, even young, should be reading newspapers more than they actually are. Theres only good that can come out of this. And what better place to go then the ever so popular billion dollar valued youtube!

My question to you do you agree and think this will actually work? Or is it waste of time and advertising money that newspapers don't have that much to spend?

I think that this plan is a good way to promoted their newspaper and advertisements. The majority of America's youth logged into Youtube regularly. Lately, newspapers has been decreasing in sales, and it is to the point that this media is going to be extinct. Technology is still evolving. By bring these two different media together, it would definitely get the word around a lot quicker and get positive results.

I have to be completely honest I do not read the newspaper nor do I rarely watch anything on youtube. Needless to say I need to read the newspaper more. I am sure if I did watch youtube this would be great. I do think that this will benefit them especially geared towards the younger crowd. Any kind of publicity to get the word out there can not hurt. After reading this I would like to check into it.

I really like youtube. I don't get to go on that much but when I do I think there is some pretty good stuff. I think it is very popular with young adults these days. For the newspapers and youtube to get together I think will only benefit both sides. I think it will more benefit the newspapers because sales have been decreasing.

Newspapers will finally have a chance for a comeback. This plan is brilliant! Because I too enjoy reading a newspaper. It is just something about the way I hold it in my hands that makes me feel so smart with a cup of coffee. But I do hope that this will help with their sales. It is by no means a waste of money for them to invest in their publicity departments. Newspaper chains have got to do something in order to escape from becoming extinct! What better place to start than with youtube?! This should provide for a great media convergence. I hope all goes well.
