Not so Big and Bad after all

Jeff Jarvis of the Buzz Machine and his mind are at it again...more good thoughts...and this time pertaining to large companies and the control they have.

He says, and I agree, that by the time the government steps in on a company taking so much control, they are in or nearly close to being in decline.

We all know how big Bill Gates and Microsoft are. Now they're trying to buy Yahoo. But think about it...the only reason they are tryingto buy yahoo is because Microsoft does not have a successful internet stragedy. And yet if you look at the last 2 years stocks of yahoo, they are in decline as well.

I find it funny that large companies end up in debt and in decline shortly after they rise to the top of the ladder of success. Maybe some of these people should start looking into how to actually stay on top of that ladder. My question to you is..do you think with all the declines of large businesses, that eventually one day it will cause major damage in the stock market and other areas??

The decline may cause trouble for the stock market. However, it seems just in general everything in life reaches its peak point and then goes down hill from there. I believe it is what Microsoft has done. It also doesn't help that our economy right now is a little shaky. It just seems to be the flow of life- economy and stocks are on the climb upwards, they peak, then tumble down, then years later start the process all over again. In general mankind's way of living never changes.

I do believe that the decline of big businesses will make a big impact in the stock market. People who invest in the stock market under companies like Microsoft or Yahoo see their decline, but when it happens people pull out their stocks. I have seen this many times and this is where the companies decline comes in. In order for companies such as Microsoft or Yahoo to stay on top of the ladder of success they have to be on top of the technology industry.

I can honestly say that I know nothing about the stock market so I do not really know if there will be a decline. I know the economy right now isn't great but hopefully we won't see another great depression.
